Is it Time to Service Your Mobility Van?

If you are like many, you have probably had your oil changed recently and the tires checked, but when was the last time you had your adaptive and/or accessible equipment serviced? While the safe operation of your vehicle is obviously important, so is the reliability and safe operation of your mobility conversion or equipment. The components that many overlook for routine maintenance until its too late.

It is recommended that you have your wheelchair lift, wheelchair van or handicap van components serviced every six months by a qualified mobility technician. In fact, to keep many of the manufactures warranties intact, there are various schedules that must be addressed. Like anything mechanical in nature, routine inspections for damage, alignment and proper operation are necessary. Electrical components are even more important, as wires could become frayed from improper alignment, wear and tear, and/or maintenance neglect.

If you can’t find your warranty that lists the schedule for each piece of equipment, check with one of our certified mobility consultants to find out your specific warranty requirements for your vehicle or equipment.
