The Toyota Sienna Hybrid wheelchair van with a BraunAbility fold-out conversion boasts the latest technology & safety features and the same spacious interior many Toyota owners have come to appreciate.
Despite changing to a hybrid, the Sienna wheelchair van still features one of the most immense door openings, thanks to its 14-inch lowered floor. For this, the Toyota Sienna handicap van remains one of the top choices for taller wheelchair users who need the added interior height and a taller door opening of 56 inches to enter and exit the vehicle safely.
The combined fuel economy up to 36 MPG is not too shabby either!

The new BraunAbility® Toyota Sienna Hybrid wheelchair-accessible van’s ramp system remains a power fold-out unit inside the doorway of the vehicle’s passenger side. The ramp is deployed and stowed inside the vehicle for those new to mobility vans by utilizing the factory key fob or set of switches found throughout the interior. And, for those who think of everything, the ramp has a backup power system in the event of a power failure, and it can be easily operated manually if necessary.
The Toyota Sienna hybrid Power Fold-Out XL ramp is 29.25 inches wide and lightweight aluminum. It has a load capacity of up to 1000 lbs.
Non-slip surface
1000 lbs. capacity.
Integrated Step Flares
To help reduce the ramp angle and make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle, every BraunAbility® Power Fold-Out XL Toyota Sienna handicap van includes an automatic suspension kneeling system. This system is automatically activated and engaged once the command is given to start and deploy the ramp for use.
Once the kneeling system is engaged, an electronic actuator lowers the van’s ramp side, thus reducing the vehicle’s ramp angle. If a kneeling system is not needed or desired, this option can be turned off from the cabin.
Part of the wheelchair van conversion process at Braunability®, the Power Fold-Out XL Toyota Sienna hybrid handicap van floor is lowered 14 inches from the firewall (just behind the engine) to the rear axle. This lowering of the floor does two things. First, it creates a taller door entry height of 56 inches for taller seated wheelchair users. Second, it provides wheelchair users a direct line of sight while driving or riding as a passenger inside the vehicle.
BraunAbility®, Power Fold-Out XL Toyota Sienna hybrid wheelchair vans feature removable front seating. The driver seat can be removed to allow a wheelchair user to drive directly from their chair, and the passenger seat can be removed so they can ride as a passenger up-front.
The seats are easily unlocked at the base, rolled away for easy storage, and can be reinstalled anytime. In addition, the new seating option on the Toyota Sienna hybrid now includes additional factory armrests. There is even the option to have heated & ventilated seating (select Toyota models).
