The Vantage Mobility Northstar, Chrysler Pacifica & Voyager wheelchair-accessible van has multiple seating configurations and the latest safety and technology.
It features a 56-inch door opening height and a 30-inch wide in-floor ramp with a 1000 lbs. capacity that accommodates larger wheelchairs and taller seated passengers.
In addition, it includes Vantage Mobility’s exclusive ParkSmart technology. The industry’s only automated parking deterrent that helps keep other drivers from parking too close to the vehicle’s ramp side & blocking access.
Vantage Mobility’s Chrysler Pacifica & Voyager wheelchair van with their Northstar conversion features a patented, ultra-low, in-floor power wheelchair ramp system that allows safe entry and exit.
The ramp conveniently stows and deploys from underneath the floor, creating additional interior space and maneuverability for all passengers. It creates an unobstructed entry for ambulatory passengers.
The ramp is 30 inches wide and made from a high-strength aluminum alloy that can support loads up to 1000 lbs.
To reduce the vehicle’s ramp angle and make it easier for the wheelchair user to enter and exit, the Vantage Mobility Chrysler Pacifica & Voyager wheelchair van features an integrated “kneeling” system. The kneeling system activates when the deploy ramp command is initiated from the key fob or set of interior switches.
Once activated, the onboard computer engages an electric actuator mounted on the vehicle’s rear passenger side. The job of the actuator is to lower the van’s ramp side, reducing the ramp angle. This option can also be turned off or on with a switch on the dash for deployment on an incline.
With the kneeling system engaged, the ramp angle is reduced to nine degrees.
Obstacle-free front seats allow easy removal and installation. This option aids in creating multiple seating arrangements for wheelchair users and passengers.
The space inside is large enough to accommodate two wheelchairs side-by-side if needed.
An exclusive on the Vantage Mobility Pacifica & Voyager handicap van – the front seats are interchangeable to their positions. This feature allows a driver and wheelchair passenger to switch positions or vice versa without sacrificing safety.
All new Vantage Mobility wheelchair vans are made with galvaneal steel flooring. These floors are also E-coated for optimal rust and corrosion prevention after many years of use. Vantage Mobility is the only manufacturer using this type of steel, and includes a 7-year/unlimited miles rust-through warranty with their vehicles!
The floor is lowered from behind the firewall to the third-row seat on the Northstar Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair van conversion. This drop in the floor creates a usable door opening height of 56 inches, making the Vantage Mobility Pacifica wheelchair van suitable for even the tallest seated wheelchair users.
The Chrysler Pacifica handicap van from Vantage Mobility is one of the market’s roomiest, domestic wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Contact one of our mobility consultants today for your test drive!
