The BraunAbility®, Power Fold-Out, Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair-accessible van doesn’t look like a traditional wheelchair van! It also features the most interior space and widest door opening & ramp of any handicap-accessible van in its class. The Pacifica Power Fold-Out is for wheelchair users who don’t need the extra door opening height of the XT model.
|Pacifica Fold-Out||53-inch door height|
|Pacifica Fold-Out XT||57-inch door height|
Easy to operate, this accessible wheelchair van boasts unparalleled maneuverability, the most spacious interior of any competitor, and numerous advanced features like a single-touch power entry and exit system; power sliding doors; power ramp, automatic kneeling system (which helps reduce ramp angle); removable front seats to allow for up-front passenger or from-the-chair driving.
However, in addition to the features of the wheelchair conversion itself, the Chrysler Pacifica chassis has various models available that feature some of the most cutting-edge safety and convenience features available today. Click here for additional buying tips.
On the Power Fold-Out, Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair van, the vehicle’s sliding side doors and ramp are full power for convenience and ease of operation. In a power failure, the ramp can continue to be operated from the integrated backup power system.
The Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair van ramp is the widest of all its competitors! In addition, it has a load capacity of 1000 lbs. and is made of lightweight aluminum. The surface has a durable, non-skid finish and slots to help reduce debris.
New from BraunAbility®, a second row, flip-and-fold seating option for the Power fold-out Chrysler Pacifica handicap-accessible van. This unique seating option allows an additional rider to ride alongside a secured wheelchair passenger in the cabin’s center. When not in use, the seat conveniently flips up and folds out of the way.
To make it easier for a wheelchair user to enter and exit the vehicle, every power, BraunAbility® wheelchair-accessible van features an automatic, integrated “kneeling” system. This actuator lowers the van ramp side, thus reducing the wheelchair ramp angle to only 9.1 degrees.
The floor of the Power fold-out Chrysler Pacifica mobility van is cut and lowered 10 inches from the firewall (just behind the engine) to the rear axle. This lowering of the floor does two things. First, it allows for easier entry and exit by the wheelchair user by creating additional headroom. Second, it provides a wheelchair user with a direct line of sight while driving or riding as a passenger. (For a more significant door opening height, see the Power Fold-Out XT model)
The front seats on the Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair-accessible van from Braun can easily be removed. Once removed, the wheelchair user can drive from their chair or ride as a passenger upfront.
