BraunAbility® CompanionVan Plus® wheelchair accessible minivan is similar to the standard CompanionVan® model except for the vehicle’s ramp and door operation is full-power versus manual operation. The ramp and door are both operated at the touch of a button from within the vehicle or from the optional key-fob. The ramp features 2-inch side-rails for extra security during navigation and a ramp with a 800 to 1000 pound weight capacity (based on when the van was converted). In an event of a power failure, the ramp can also be operated manually.

FOLD-OUT RAMP - The lightweight aluminum ramp unfolds to extend, allowing easy access to the interior for wheelchairs and scooter users. The ramp is durable, and powder coated with a non-skid material to ensure superior traction. The surface is also slotted to help prevent your chair from tracking debris into your vehicle.

REMOVABLE SEATING - For those who like to ride up front or drive from their wheelchair, BraunAbility® makes it easy: the seat-base is easily unlocked from the floor where it can easily be rolled out of the vehicle.

WHEELCHAIR TIE-DOWNS - Each wheelchair van includes a standard floor-track and belt system that secures the wheelchair for transit. An optional retractable belt system is a versatile and convenient option. Independent users can even elect to have an automatic tie-down installed. Due to the wide variety of wheelchairs and tie-down systems available, we recommend that you check with your local dealer to determine which system will work best for you and your wheelchair van.
