BraunAbility® Toyota XL handicap van now has more interior space in the cabin! In 2019, BraunAbility® did a conversion upgrade creating more interior space thus increasing the maneuverability inside the cabin of their Toyota product offerings. Through the conversion process, BraunAbility® was able to gain 6 additional inches in interior floor space!
The Toyota XL handicap accessible wheelchair van utilizes a full-power, fold-out wheelchair ramp system for ease of use. At a simple push of an interior button or on the Toyota key-fob, the power door opens, the ramp deploys, and the auto kneeling system engages to lower the rear suspension of the vehicle to further reduce the ramp angle for easier entry and exit of the vehicle by the wheelchair user.
The Toyota XL has a lowered floor of 13 inches, which is more than most standard wheelchair accessible minivans. This additional lowering of the floor in Toyota\'s creates a door opening height of 56.5 inches which allows for taller users to fit comfortably inside the cabin.
For wheelchair users who prefer to ride up front or drive from their wheelchair, the BraunAbility® Toyota XL mobility van has easy to use step-and-roll, removable driver and passenger seating.
