The Voyager Northstar-E wheelchair features a power-operated, siding side-door with a manually operated in-floor wheelchair ramp system.
The manual wheelchair ramp on the Voyager handicap accessible vehicle is 30-inches wide and made from a lightweight, aluminum alloy that provides up to a 1000 lbs. loading capacity. When not in use, the ramp stows out-of-site under the main-floor of the cabin creating more interior space for all and an unobstructed entryway for ambulatory passengers. In addition, the floor of the Northstar-E Conversion from VMI is made from Galvanneal Steel, a VMI exclusive that reduces the chance for rust and corrosion by providing superior protection against subjected elements.
The front passenger seat on the new Chrysler Voyager Northstar-E from VMI is easily removed to provide obstacle-free front seating for the wheelchair user. This feature, along with optional 2nd-row seating options, allows the Voyager Northstar-E to be configured for many types of seating needs including multiple wheelchair transport.
