The VMI Honda Odyssey Northstar Access360 is the industries newest handicap accessible vehicle from VMI. Integrated with a full-power in-floor ramp system, the unobstructed door opening has a width of 30.5 inches and a door opening height of 55-inches. Making the VMI Honda Odyssey larger than its competitors. The VMI Honda Odyssey is engineered with an additional .75 inches of ground clearance to reduce scraping, and its advanced noise-reducing technology creates a quiet and comfortable ride unlike it’s predecessor.

In addition, the Honda Northstar Access360 from VMI has a full-factory climate control system in front and rear, rear crash mitigation bar, and comes with 1-year of VMI Assurance – Complimentary Mobility Roadside Assistance in select markets.

Automatic Door And Ramp Operation

The Northstar Access360 conversion on the Honda Odyssey features a patented, ultra-low, in-floor ramp system with a 29-inch ramp width and a 9 degree ramp angle for added ease of entry and exit. The ramp conveniently deploy’s and stows underneath the floor, creating additional interior space and maneuverability for wheelchair users and his/her passengers. The ramp is made from high strength aluminum alloy and can support loads up to 1000 lbs.

Automatic Kneeling Feature

In an effort to reduce ramp angle and make it easier for the wheelchair user, the VMI wheelchair van conversion features an automatic, integrated “kneeling” system. When a deploy ramp command is initiated, the on-board computer activates an actuator that is mounted on the rear passenger side of the vehicle. Once engaged, the actuator works to lower the vans ramp side, thus reducing ramp angle. This option can also be turned off or on with a switch on the dash as needed.

Removable Front Seating

The obstacle free front seats allow for easy removal, creating multiple seating arrangements for the wheelchair user and passengers. The space is large enough to accommodate two wheelchairs side-by-side if needed.

Corrosion Resistant Floor

All VMI Northstar wheelchair conversions have floors that are made from Galvanneal Steel and are E-coated for optimal rust and corrosion prevention.
