Edit

When it comes to the types of automotive hand controls, the Right Angle type is the least fatiguing mechanical type on the market today. The unique design eliminates issues with an occupant’s knees or legs, and reduces driver’s fatigue.

How They Work

The system works using a horizontally installed handle for easy grip, and can be installed on either the right or left of the steering wheel. The operator pulls the down in a right angle movement toward his or her legs for acceleration and pushes away toward the dash for braking. However, what is unique in this design is that the unit pivots solely at the handle when throttling, keeping the main body stationary eliminating driver contact and reducing fatigue with its short travel.

In comparison to the Push / Rock type control, to apply the gas, one would rock the handle down toward his/her lap at a right angle.
